So, what’s a supperclub?
Everywhere else in the world, a supperclub is an intimate, underground dining experience—something between a chef’s table and a private dinner party. Guests gather around one communal table for a multi-course tasting menu, paired with drinks and surprises along the way.
It’s not a traditional restaurant: no ordering à la carte, no walk-ins—just one-of-a-kind experiences designed start to finish by the chef. Supperclubs can happen in homes, lofts, barns, gardens, or wherever creativity takes us.
👉 Amsterdam friends, take note: This is not the Supperclub nightclub. No velvet ropes, no bottle service—just bold flavors, good people, and a wildly creative food adventure.

The Anti-Restaurant
We’re not your typical restaurant—in fact, we’re the opposite. Black Goat Supperclub is a rebellious culinary project that breaks the rules and sets its own table. No menus, no pretense, no “right way” to dine. Just instinct-driven, zero-waste cooking, fire-fueled creativity, and an atmosphere where everyone feels at home.
Every event is a one-of-a-kind communal experience, where the entire space becomes the chef’s table. You’ll share bold, seasonal flavors with strangers who may leave as friends—and maybe a story you’ll never forget.

Our Journey
Founded by celebrated top chef Derek Ronspies and designer–hotelier Cat Biggar, Black Goat was born out of a desire to push boundaries in food, design, and hospitality. Together, they’ve built and reinvented Black Goat across four incarnations—from secret supperclubs in the U.S., to a fine dining Test Kitchen food truck, and a brick and mortar restaurant (where we landed on USA Today’s list of 45 Best Restaurants in America) to our current chapter here in the Netherlands.
Now based just outside Amsterdam in Haarlem, we’re hosting private supperclubs, pop-ups, and chef’s table dinners in homes, galleries, and unexpected spaces while we search for the perfect permanent home.

Because fine dining doesn’t need white tablecloths or pretension. At Black Goat, we create spaces where food is art, but everyone belongs. We strip away the rules and deliver unforgettable experiences rooted in connection, joy, and just a touch of rebellion.

A Little Backstory
After opening our first brick-and-mortar space, Black Goat was named one of USA Today’s Top 45 Restaurants of 2024—just six months after opening. That recognition confirmed what we’ve always believed: great food doesn’t need pretense, just passion, creativity, and people who care.

And yes, you’ll probably meet Truffle, our Bernedoodle sidekick. He’s not a goat, but he thinks he runs the place.
